Usually if I'm having fun with a yarn, I have to knit with it for at least two projects before I can move on to the next new favorite. I must. Right now, I'm working with Berroco Weekend (75% acrylic, 25% cotton). I'm knitting a baby blanket in a simple feather and fan stitch. It's moving along quickly...in part due to a knitting deadline but mainly because this smooth yarn slides along the tips of my Addi's like a bird's song in the Spring. Seriously, it's fun. And the colors that I'm working with are bright and remind me that blue, blue skies are becoming more and more likely as we head into April. Right?
So even though I've knit with Weekend in the past, and followed my two project minimum, I'm excited to cast on again. And therein lies the reason for this post. We've got a Knit Along scheduled to begin Thursday, April 7th from to make a cute sweater using either Weekend or Weekend Chunky. We'll meet every Thursday in April from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., there is no fee for this activity, and at the end of the month we'll have something sweet to show for our time. Come at lunch time and join the fun! By the way, do check out the decreases on the front of this sweater. They're cool. And as you knit, chat and enjoy...I guarantee you'll smile more than this model.
