The Knitting Studio will be offering classes later into the Spring this year. Look for the perfect class to learn a new technique or take on a project that you might not try on your own. There are plenty to choose from...find something exciting!

Needle Felted Skunk with Cindy
1 class: Sunday, March 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Learn to sculpt with roving! Uncover your inner artist and needle felt your own version of an adorable skunk while learning valuable techniques. This class is open to all levels from total novice on up. It’s going to be fun! Cost: $45.00
Finishing is Fun with Elanor
Level: Advanced Beginner
2 classes: Saturdays, 2/7 & 14 from 9-11 a.m.
Mastering the basics of finishing will elevate your knitting to the next level and increase your confidence. The class will cover blocking, seaming, mattress stitch, picking up stitches and the three needle bind off. Priceless information! Cost: $25.00
Eagle Twist Shawl with Margot
Level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate
3 classes: Thursdays, 2/5, 12 & 26 from 6-8 p.m.
As you knit this shawl, create gloriously contoured wings using short rows and alternating stripes of garter and stockinette stitches. Learn to work short rows & a sweet cable while knitting a beautiful two color shawl to wear or give as a gift. Cost: $35.00
Design Basics: The Hat with Elanor
Level: Advanced Beginner
3 classes: Thursdays, 3/5, 12, 19 from 6-8 p.m.
Learn techniques for designing your own patterns that all begin with an essential gauge swatch. In this class, you will knit a hat flat (circular knitting is not covered) and incorporate lace, cables, color work or simple stripes into your design. Once you get the hang of hats, other projects like handbags will be a snap to design! Cost: $35.00
Aestlight Shawl with Margot
4 classes: Wednesdays, 3/4, 11, 18 & 25 from 6-8 p.m.
Learn traditional Shetland lace construction and techniques while creating a warm and fashionable three season shawl! The name, ‘Aestlight’ means ‘east light’ in Shetland dialect. This project includes Bird’s Eye lace, a knitted on border, and chart reading (optional). Cost: $45.00
Ropewalk Cable Sweater with Lee
4 classes: Thursdays, 3/26, 4/2, 16 & 30 from 6-8 p.m.
Knit a gorgeous sweater from designer Norah Gaughan. The cables are amazing on this sweater, almost like a bird taking flight. And with side ribbing and an easy to wear shape, this is sure to be one of your favorite sweaters to pull on. Just be ready for a whole lot of compliments when you wear it! Cost: $45.00
Learn to Crochet with Carrie
Level: Total novice
4 classes: Saturdays, 3/7, 14, 21 & 28 from 9-11 a.m.
Get started on something new…learn to crochet! Learn to chain, single crochet, double crochet and half-double crochet…a new stitch every week. For each stitch you will create a square of crocheted fabric that can be used alone as dishcloths or be sewn together to create a scarf, cowl, baby blanket or whatever you choose. Cost: $45.00
Favorite Summer T with Lee
Level: Advanced beginner
4 classes: Wednesdays, 5/6, 13, 20 & 27 from 6-8 p.m.
Knit the t-shirt that you’ll live in all summer! Dress it up with a skirt or pair it with shorts or jeans when you’re feeling casual. This sweet top with raglan short sleeves is knit in the round. It’s a perfect first sweater project. Cost: $45.00
